The Gather 2016 schedule is now available to view. Come along and host a session!

That’s right, you’re in charge of the day’s agenda. Without your input, Gather Conference is just a bunch of clever people eating lunch and drinking coffee. Actually, that sounds pretty cool … but we think it’ll be better with talks too. :-)

The Sessions

Gather is the conference that’s made for you, by you. You have free rein to do absolutely anything you want — within reason and provided it adheres to our Gatherly Behaviour Policy. Sessions can be show-and-tells, discussions, lessons, or even just a sit-down-and-make-stuff.

You don’t have to be an expert to host a session. You also don’t have to host on your own — suggest a topic and see if anyone is interested in helping you run it. Sessions are not meant to be a series of staid lectures – everyone is encouraged to participate. Stuck for ideas? Here’s what we got up to in 2015, 2014, 2013 and in 2012.

Hosting a session? Check out our guide: Hosting a session 101.

If you know someone who is doing something great and you think they should be sharing it with a wider audience then encourage them to come along and take part!

“Amazing moment at #nzgather in the education session where @nzben + @tanya decided to solve the problem of connecting schools with tech ppl”
